A minimalist take on our Waxed Cotton Jacket, this overshirt style is crafted from the same durable waxed cotton, featuring a polished finish that will develop a vintage leather look over time. The hard-wearing fabric provides reliable water resistance and is perfect for coastal, rural, and urban settings.

HD® Wool is used for insulation throughout. HD® Wool’s Evolve Active Insulations are made from fully traceable, washable British wool specifically designed to replace polyester padding.

The collar is lined with pure cotton corduroy for timeless style and softness against the skin, while a snap-close placket adds an extra touch of shirt-inspired design. Adjustable cuff straps and well-placed pockets complete the range of functional features. Our colorful tartan adds a traditional accent to this modern layer. Made with cotton grown through the Better Cotton Initiative, a global organization that aims to make cotton production more sustainable, fairer for farmers, and kinder to the planet.

Sponge clean only. The care instructions for our waxed cotton coats vary between styles, so please check the care label of your garment for specific instructions. Styles which are sponge clean only should be brushed to remove any dirt or grit, then sponged down with cold water.

What Alvin said in his review is unfortunately completely correct. In many ways, this is the jacket I have been searching for. In it´s choice of materials, pockets and casual, cool, but high quality looks. But the shape and sizing of the jacket should be redesigned/remeasured. The arms and shoulders are way to tight. I am not a particular muscular guy, but still this jacket fits too tight. It would probably help going two sizes up, but then the rest of the jacket would be far too big. Quality wise, it is mostly fantastic. My exact jacket though, have hand pockets where the seams have broke. May be just mine, but it would be great if they reinforced the jackets with some metal on the pockets top and bottom sides. Thanks Celtic and co for what is mostly a great jacket. Received this jacket today. It is beautiful and fits like a glove. I especially appreciate that it is made in the UK. Size was a little unclear when ordering, but it turned out to be pretty much true to size. I am generally in between sizes (Medium to Large) but usually I fall in Large size. I am 41" chest, 5'10" Height (178cm) and 190lbs (85kg). Average build. The Large fits right for me - a little snug, so not too much room underneath layering but as I live in Australia I expect to wear it with a t-shirt or shirt..

We all know that online sizing can be a gamble. On reading the mixed reviews regarding sizing of this overshirt/ lightweight jacket I emailed the company and they couldn’t have been more helpful. I’m 5’10 44” chest and the large fits mr perfectly., designed to be worn over a shirt or lightweight jumper. Quality is great, really pleased.

Great jacket but it is has an identity crisis. The sizing is totally wrong irrespective if you consider it an overshirt or light jacket. I think it is too padded to be an overshirt, and it proportions are all wrong as a light jacket. The sizing is far too small compared market equivalents, the large is a medium at best. If you want to wear it with a jumper you may need to go two sizes up. No idea what is happening with the arms they're short and remarkably tight on the shoulders - so it is great if you don't the full use of your arms. Would be an excellent addition to any wardrobe (or coat rail?) if it wasn't so oddly sized. I was really excited to receive this and then equally as disappointed when I tried it on. It is well priced but getting the sizing right is a basic.

Really nice coat but the fitment guide was way off. I originally purchased an XL due to my 41" chest but it was huge. I then returned it for a M which is supposed to be for a 38" but fit perfectly.
