Celt House Boots - Regular

Probably my third or fourth pair. I can't imagine life without them! The old ones were still wearable but the soft fluffy lining in the new ones is cosy and comfortable. I normally take size five and a half and the size 6 is still quite tight. I know, of course, that the fleece will flatten in time.

I bought these to replace the same slippers I was gifted 3 years ago. When they arrived, one of the soles of the slippers was clearly bent upwards by about 30 degrees and the sole itself was several mm thicker than the other shoe. I couldn't get my foot in the slipper because it was 3 cm narrower around the arch than the other shoe which didn't seem to have defects. When I wrote to customer support to explain I received a snitty message back explaining to me that this was part of the joy of hand manufactured slippers and they couldn't possibly commit to checking the quality of another pair if I tried to exchange them. Not only did I know how they're meant to fit, it was very obvious from the pictures there was an issue. I returned them and purchased a much better quality pair of identical slippers from another company for a third of the price with great customer service.

These boots look good quality as usual and the Blue Iris colour is very attractive, but I've had to return them as I'm unable to get them on! The legs of the boots are very slim, and I'm unable to bend my feet sufficiently to get them into the boots. I do have large feet and I wonder if the legs of the boots in larger sizes need to be a little wider to facilitate taking on and off.

These are my third pairs of boots, i ordered the darker vole colour this time as my cream ones are looking well worn! As many others customers have said on my left foot the toe of the boot wears thin and will eventually wear a hole in the boot. However despite the cost i will probably keep buying these as they are beautifuly warm and comfortable.Hope my new darker colour keeps looking good.

I've been buying Celtic house boots for about 20 years now and they usually last at least 5 winters. They're the only boots that keep my feet and ankles warm enough from October to March and I feel fortunate to have discovered them in the early 2000s. Also the built in heel cup supports my feet enough so that I don't pronate, which is an added advantage. Lovely, lovely boots!

Absolutely fabulous Celtic house boots, BUT after 2 winters wear they always develop a hole on the big toe site. I have bought several pairs over the years and this has happened to all of them. A size 5 is perfect for me. These house boots would last so much longer with a reinforced toe cover over the sheepskin similar to the one on the back of the heel, that I would call that perfection and lengthens the life of the boots.

Love these. but after reading a review l wish l had bought the darker colour as l am very messy in the kitchen and they will probably get stained. However, got them due to feeling draughts when sitting down in the evening and they keep my ankles and above lovely and toastie. Wish l had bought them sooner.

Beyond gorgeous! I have had these house boots twice before in the oatmeal. I was very pleased to be able to order them in vole - which is such a beautiful colour. Although the boots in oatmeal do wash well, they do show stains very quickly despite stain repellent so the darker colour is perfect as I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Also pleased to see the design has been updated with a reinforced heel. They are expensive……..but they are worth it. I looked at (and tried on) various cheaper options because these boots are considerable more pricey than many, but the other brands just don’t measure up to the design and quality of Celtic. As I wear these all the time, day in day out, they are worth the investment for the comfort, warmth and style that they bring to my feet.

So cosy - it’s amazing what a difference they make, my chilblains have disappeared.

As many of your customers, I suffer from very cold feet and these House Boots are a necessary part of my daily routine to try and keep warm in cold weather. Our home also has stripped floorboards - very attractive but also very draughty and my boots keep my feet free from pesky draughts. I have always purchased the House Boots in oatmeal but when given a choice I thought I would have a change and try the vole. My only gripe would be that being tall I would prefer to buy this footwear in the calf height option and hope this choice will become available in the future.

I love these boots and having been wearing them non-stop for the last week. They look great, are extremely comfortable and keep my feet lovely and warm. I initially ordered size 6 based on comments in reviews ( I am a 6.5) but they were too small for me. Size 7 is perfect.

These are the best slippers ever! This is the second pair that I have bought. The first pair lasted me for 10 years. I wear them all day (I work at home), summer and winter. They keep my feet warm in winter and my feet don't overheat in summer. They are so comfortable and look great too - with sturdy enough soles that I have been known to pop to the shop in them should the need for an emergency bar of chocolate strike! I absolutely love them x

My wife is very pleased with these, as she has been with all the other Celtic & Co products she has had in the past. Just what she wanted!

Gorgeous comfortable boots

This is the first pair of house boots that I have bought, having worn the bootee slippers for years. They are warm and toastie - perfect for warming up the ankles and calves on a cooler day.

I recently started looking for a warm pair of slippers to see me through the winter since the (cheap) pair I bought last year was already looking and feeling tired. I looked online for recommendations, and forum after forum said the same thing: Celtic & Co. house boots. I was a little shocked by the price but decided to take the plunge... And almost immediately regretted it since I followed the instructions to order a smaller size (I'm usually a 6.5). The boots felt so tight! Would I be able to return them? I grumbled to myself for a day while wearing them and, lo and behold, they molded themself to my feet as promised. They are incredibly comfortable and warm, and I've found myself wearing them from the moment I get out of bed to when I go to sleep. I work from home, so they're now a part of my uniform. Added bonus: the thick soles mean I can pop outside without changing shoes. My only complaint is one that a few people have highlighted: the lighter oatmeal colour is lovely, but it picks up marks easily. A dark blue pair of jeans immediately transferred its colour to the sheepskin. I haven't tried to clean the boots yet, but my first recommendation would be to go for a darker colour. The second recommendation is not to hesitate and just buy the boots: although pricey at first glance, I can see them lasting for years. It's already been worth it to me for the "shear" warmth and comfort the sheepskin provides.

Can I just say, you get what you pay for. These are the most amazing warm slippers. I am going into my third winter with these slippers and they are still like new. I couldn't have survived my cold, draughty flat without them. Please don't hesitate, they are an investment worth making and you will be repaid with warm, cosy feet.

I got these last year as a birthday gift (by request). They were my second paid of Celt boots. I have worn them every day, winter spring summer and fall. Without a doubt they are my favorite pair of boots/slippers and well worth the money. Two things for those new to the Celt boot which I feel are critical to truly enjoying them. First, LISTEN to the advice on sizing. Do NOT order up a size. If you’re between size, order down. They will feel tight at first. You may even feel like the sizing is all wrong. Don’t give up! The shearling lining will quickly mold to your feet and the boot itself will stretch exactly enough to make a perfect fit. They are designed to wear without socks so be sure to do that. My fellow Americans may find this odd and even downright wrong. Trust me tho, soon you will understand. Second, the first time you put these on, the soles might feel stiff and uncomfortable. And yes, they are stiffer than boots from that other well known brand, but you will soon grow used to the feel as the soles slightly soften and the shearling begins to mold to your foot. I know I must sound like a complete lunatic to be so excited about a boot. Maybe I am!! But my feet don’t even care bc they absolutely adore the whole experience of these boots. I’m off now to order my third pair. The first two pairs are perfectly fine. But after wearing these every single day for hours on end, the outside does get rather soiled and plus, my feet deserve the softness and experience of slipping on a brand new pair. In short, size down if you’re in between sizes. Do not wear with socks. And give that initial stiff feeling sole time to break in. You won’t regret it. Your feet will thank you.

My third pair of Celtic House Boots has just arrived! I have poor circulation so my feet are cold. I wear the boots every day I'm at home and couldn't live without them. They are so warm and comfortable and look great. Just one request - an option of darker colours as they do mark easily.

These were a gift for my mother in law who suffers from the cold - she is absolutely delighted with them and says her feet are the happiest they have been in years! I should add that after I got some last year, I have also got the longer Aqualamb boots and my sister also has the slippers. In this cold weather and especially now with the cost of heating so high, we have practially lived in them.

My husband needed a new pair and was delighted when they arrived.

Whoever designed these deserves a medal. They are so comfortable you don’t feel you have anything on your feet except they are just the right amount of warm. The hard sole is great for popping out on to a wet patio. More colours would be great. I’d love them in blue!

Fabulous warm boots and they arrived so promptly. One thing I would say is that although I'm normally a size 6 I found the size 6 boots I had last year never stopped being rather tight even without socks, hence ordering a size 7 this winter. These fit perfectly and I couldn't be more satisfied, thank you very much.

I have had 4 pairs of these slipper boots, I love them. they take a long time to wear out, I have washed them in a machine, although as other reviewers have said in the past, a darker colour would be a good idea, as they start to look a bit grubby when the colour gets marks on. They are expensive but I would say well worth it.

Lovely boots. Barely taken them off since I got them! So cosy & comfortable. I also have 3 pairs of the (outdoor) boots & I find with all these sheepskin boots I need to size down one full size. They quickly mold to my feet. Highly recommend.

I have a few pairs of the Celtic outdoor boots which are excellent & have been eyeing these house boots up for a while now. After trying & failing to find any good slippers that covered my ankles & were good quality, I decided to go for it. I paint a lot so sit still for long periods in a fairly cold room so get cold feet & ankles. They are just as expected, really well made, comfy & warm & I don't need to wear socks (I hate socks)! Highly recommend these if you are thinking about getting some :)
